Ljupco Kocarev (lEEE fellow, class 2006) is a member of the Macedonian Academy ofSciences and Arts, Professor at the Graduate School, Ss. Cyril and Methodius Universityin Skopje, Macedonia, and Funding Director of the Research Center for Compute!Science and Information technologies at the Macedonian Academy. He was a presidentof the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts for the period 1 January 2020 -31December 2023. His work has been supported by the Macedonian Ministry ofEducation and Science, Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, EU agencies(TEMPUS, FP6, FP7, and Horizon 2020), Alliance of National and InternationalOrganizations for the Belt and Road Regions, Us agencies (NSF, AFOSR, DOE, ONR,ONR Global, and NlH), German agencies (DAAD and DFG), UN (UNDP and UNESCO)and STMicroelectronics. His scientific interests include networks, nonlinear systems andcircuits, dynamical systems and mathematical modeling, machine learning, andcomputational biology. He has co-authored more than 200 journal papers and hasbeen granted 6 patents worldwide.
